Howdy there everyone! Kamden here and I am stopping by to talk to y'all today about something I read in my research of wedding trends.
I try to keep myself educated in what is happening in the wedding realm.
Well not to long ago I ran across something that caught my attention and I think it will catch yours too!
Ok let's jump in!
When planning a wedding it seems that it is a lot of work to plan the rehearsal. Though some people do skip it entirely (because it is just so darn stressful!) It could be essential because there could be someone in your wedding party that avoids weddings like they are a plague and has no idea how to walk down an aisle (eye roll here.)
But in all seriousness a rehearsal is a good chance to just go over everything and make sure that everyone knows where they should be.
Usually the rehearsal is the night before and there is a meal provided. If you go by traditional weddings this is planned by the grooms family (the meal.) The wedding is usually payed for by the brides family (maybe, maybe not?)
Well here comes the part that I have recently discovered.
Rehearsal the day of the wedding.
You read that right.
How awesome does this sound???
To me it sounds like someone should have thought of this sooner. Who knows they probably did but they didn't want to go against the current of strict wedding etiquette.
So with having the rehearsal the day of the wedding this is what is made easier:
If someone is traveling from out of town they have the day before to get there and get settled.
You don't have to spread everything out in two days, you knock it out in one!
Have a brunch...its cheaper than buying them dinner (maybe, maybe not?)
Let's face it, you have a reason to start the party early (mimosas anyone?)
It creates less stress for everyone. They won't lose what they learned in 4 hours (hopefully.)
Okay so now that you have read this you are jumping for joy...RIGHT?
I am. If I ever get married this is what I am doing. Plus now you don't have to pay for a whole extra day.
So I technically just saved you a bunch a money....and since I am watching Moana right now....YOUR WELCOME!!!
Have a blessed day! May I be the first to say Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs.!!!
